Job Description
Product Manager - Phosphates
Growing, diverse organization has an opportunity for a Product Manager of Phosphates to purchase, manage logistics and trade/merchandise phosphate products. The company is diverse in their business mix: grain, ethanol, retail, rail, and plant nutrient and turf specialty. The qualified candidate will have the following responsibilities: organizing, planning, developing and implementing a complete supply and merchandising program for dry and liquid phosphates. Daily you will work closely with sales and the regional general managers. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and achieving targeted sales and gross profit revenues generated through the trading and conventional business segments. There will be minimal travel with the position. Candidates should feel comfortable working in open office areas and fast-paced work environments.
Candidates are required to have excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation. Individuals should be fast paced, have excellent problem solving skills, be highly analytical, deal with stressful situations, manage multiple unexpected challenges and opportunities, deal with changing schedules and requirements and take ownership of their position. This is a high-profile position within the organization.

Requirements for the Product Manager - Phosphates:
1. A Bachelors degree; Agri-Business or business administration preferred
2. A minimum of 5 years in purchasing, logistics, trading/merchandising of agricultural minerals such as phosphate, nitrogen or potash
3. Advance knowledge of the agricultural commodity market
4. Strong P&L knowledge
5. The ability to build strong customer relationships
6. Experience in Microsoft Office and Windows environments
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Masters Degree
2. Certifications
3. Direct experience with Phosphate, Nitrogen or Potash
4. Professional associations.
This position is offering a competitive relocation package. Candidates are preferred to be tied to the Midwest region.
